Inaugurated the 80th All India Inter-University Athletic Championship 2019-20, organized jointly by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, (RGUHS) Karnataka and Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri at the Swarajya Maidan on Thursday, January 2, 2020.
State tourism minister C T Ravi, MLAs Raghupathi Bhat, and Umanath Kotian, former MLA Ramanath Rai, entrepreneur Prakash Shetty, chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation Dr Mohan Alva, Alva’s management trustees Vivek Alva, Vinay Alva, and others were present.
More than 4500 athletes from over 350 universities participated in the march. A vibrant procession was carried out along with a display of firecrackers.
