Mangaluru: New Amenity Building of CAMPCO Chocolate Factory being inaugurated by

Programme Implementation will unveil the Bust of our Founder President, Sri.Nalin Kumar Kateel, Member of Parliament Laying of Foundation for Arecanut, Pepper and Rubber Master Godown at
Kavu site. Ms.Shobha Karandlaje, Member of
Parliamen, Udupi-Chikmagalur MP Ms.Shobha Karandlaje Releasing of premium Chocolate Products Of Campco.

About CAMPCO.
One of the most sophisticated Factory in South East Asia – THE CAMPCO
CHOCOLATE FACTORY was inaugurated by Giani Zail Singh in the year
1986 and for the past three decades has grown in leaps and bounds. Having an
annual production capacity of 23,000MTs, CAMPCO Chocolate Factory
produces Chocolates satisfying the taste buds of the Consumers. CAMPCO
Chocolate Factory has been exporting its products and for the past few years has
been the recipient of Top Multi Product Exporter Award in Karnataka
sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, Southern
Region.
The CAMPCO Chocolate Factory is now gearing up for the inauguration of its
New Amenity Building built at a cost of Rs.13.00 Crores with a total area of
42,000 sq.ft., having three Floors and One Cellar. Each Floor has an area of
10,500 sq.ft.
Amenity Building is added to our Factory to meet the present international
Food Safety Standards and zoning of Food Processing area as per FSSAI
Standards.
A total number of 800 Workers/Staff will be working in 3 Shifts. The Factory is
fitted with CC Cameras for Security and Safety. It has been equipped with Fire
Safety equipment. To keep up with green energy, the Factory has been built
with a system for Rain Water harvesting, Bio Fuelled Boiler and VAM. It is also
having infrastructure like Air Shower, Canteen and Wash Rooms, Changing
Rooms, Hand Washing stations etc. Floorwise details are give below:
Ground Floor :
– Administrative Block
I Floor:
– Training Centre of 50 Member capacity.
– Process Lab for testing quality of Chocolate, Cocoa Beans, Arecanut etc.
– Industrial Canteen with a seating capacity of 150 Members
– AC Dining Hall of 50 Member capacity
– Industrial Canteen/Modern Kitchen
– Locker Room for Male and Females – 1,050 numbers
II Floor:
– Office of Co-Packers i.e. Nestle India Ltd., Global Consumer Products Ltd,
Koko Pelli Foods LLP, Mondelez India Foods (P) Ltd.
– Finished Chocolate Packing Unit area of 9000 sq.ft
III Floor
– Board Meeting Hall of 60 Members capacity
– Packing Materials Storage area

About Fonder President–Sri.Varanashi Subraya Bhat
Sri.Varanashi Subraya Bhat basically an Agriculturist and a visionary is the
Saviour of Lakhs of Arecanut Farmers. Having being successful in the Arecanut
field, later he set out to save the Cocoa Farmers from the clutches of MNCS and
thereby gave rise to the CAMPCO Chocolate Factory wherein Cocoa Beans
purchased from Local Farmers is being utilised.
Being the Founder President, he has lead CAMPCO for three consecutive terms
commencing from July 1973 to December 1990. His dream continues. On
behalf of the Arecanut fraternity and the entire Staff of CAMPCO, we feel it an
honour to erect the Bust of our Founder President Late Sri.Varanashi Subraya
Bhat at our Factory Premises.
Laying of Foundation for Arecanut, Pepper and Rubber Master Godown at
Kavu site is being laid by Sri.Nalin Kumar Kateel, Member of Parliament,
Dakshina Kannada.
Our Kavu site has an area of 11.6 acre. A Master Godown for Arecanut,
Rubber and Pepper Processing is being built at a total cost of Rs.19.00 Crores.
The proposed Built up area of the Master Godown is 1.00 lakh sq.ft. Pepper
processing Unit is proposed to have a Cold Storage of 30,000 sq.ft area. It will
also house an Administrative Office. The Godown will have modern
technology concepts like Mechanised Machinery, Conveyors. Fork Lifts, Pallets
etc. The Godown will be safeguarded with Fire Protection equipments. Around
200 Members will be working in it.
Release of premium Chocolate Products by Ms.Shobha Karandlaje, Member of
Parliament, Udupi-Chikmagalur
In order to garner the Market for premium range Chocolates, our Factory has
decided to introduce Premium Assorted Gift Box containing four variants of
Pure Chocolate products viz. Dietier-Dark Chocolate Sugar Free, Milk Marvel-
Milk Chocolate, Milk n Milk-White Chocolate with Rice Crispies and Funtan-
Dark Chocolate which will be placed mainly in Airports and Big Malls. Being
Swadeshi Chocolates, produced in a Swadeshi Factory we request the Citizens
of the entire nation to taste our Chocolates.
