Moodbidri:The 14th edition of Alva’s Nudisiri 2017, the national festival of Kannada state, culture and literature commenced with a grand valedictory session at the Rathnakara Varni Vedike on 3rd of December. A grand procession led the guests of the occasion on to the dais.
Welcoming the gathering, The Chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation and Convenor of Alva’s Nudisiri Dr M Mohan Alva says, the success of Nudisiri-2017 has reawakened in me the zeal to pursue the passion and sustain this legacy for years to come.”
No one has made efforts to accurately comprehend and adhere to the principles of pluralism so far. Alva’s Nudisiri made an attempt in the direction and has considerably succeeded in contributing and exploring the dimensions of pluralism. Nudisiri has also been an amalgamation of agriculture, culture, photography, performing arts, drawing, and folklore.
There must be the best entrepreneurs and the best employees generated from Karnataka. We must generate young people who shall serve in the land of Karnataka, and always remember the sense of debt they owe to the land. There must never be a sense of inferiority amongst the youth of Karnataka owing to linguistic barriers. Hence Udyogasiri was organised for the first time at Nudisiri for people who studied from class1-10 in Kannada medium.
Delivering the presidential address, Dr Nagatihalli Chandrashekar, the President of Alva’s Nudisiri 2017,
The connection that we have with the world is through our work. If one doesn’t work, he does not deserve to live. “Pluralism is omnipresent. It is a necessity of India to recognise the essence of pluralism and turn it into an asset.”
Dr Nagatihalli Chandrashekar was felicitated with grandeur by all the Nudisiri awardees and dignitaries post his presidential address.
The valedictory was witnessed by Nearly 10,000 people.
Ex-Minister Abhaychandra Jain,MP Captain Ganesh Karnik,Ex-Minister Amarnath Shetty,Venugopal Shetty mastered the ceremony, Vice President of Nudisiri Andaru Gunapal Hegde rendered the vote of thanks.
