Mangalore:April,23,2015: The South Canara District Central Co-operative (SCDCC) Bank Limited has earned a net profit of Rs 22.75 crore during the financial year ended on March 31.
Briefing Media persons here on Thursday, SCDCC Bank Chairman M N Rajendra Kumar said that the achievement is a record in the history of the bank. “Bank could perform well even by distributing low percentage interest to farmers,” he added.
Further explaining about the annual turnover, Kumar said that the bank has collected deposits worth Rs 25.68.83 crore through its 96 branches. The bank has recorded 28.35 per cent increase in the deposit collection, compared to previous financial year’s statistics, he informed. 100 pc recovery
The bank has the distinction of achieving 100 per cent loan recovery in the agricultural sector for the past 20 years, Kumar said.
The bank has 902 member societies and possess a share capital of Rs 19.99 crore. The working capital of the bank is Rs 1,215.20 crore, he added.
