Mangaluru: The officers of Customs at Mangaluru International Airport on 13.03.2015, seized Two Nos. of Ten Tola Gold bars & Two Nos. of Rectangular Gold Objects totally weighing 472.520 Grams of value Rs.12,35,640/- (Rupees Twelve Lakhs Thirty Five Thousand Six Hundred Forty only), brought by a passenger who arrived from Dubai. The passenger had brought these gold by concealing in his rectum.

The passenger Deepak Nachaldas Wadhwa, aged about 43 years, who arrived at Mangaluru International Airport on 13.03.2015 at about 09.00 hrs by Jet Airways Flight No. 9W531 from Dubai, is a resident of Ulhasnagar, Thane, Maharashtra. The passenger has been arrested and produced before the Hon’ble Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mangaluru on 13.03.2015 for remand. Further investigation is under progress.
