Mangaluru;March,04,2015-The historic and famous Enmakaje Pilichamundi Nemotsava held at Enmakaje near Perla in Kasargod district on March 4, Wednesday. Thousands of devotees from Seraje, Poovanadka, Katukukke, Padre, Sheni village of Enmakaje Panchayath area, people surrounding area and far-away places like Mangaluru,Kollur, Yermal, participated in the Nemostava and accepted the Sirimudi Arasina Prasada of the Daiva.
Many devotees pleaded words of solace with Pilichamundi (Shri Vishnu Murthy) Daiva. Daiva offered words of courage and all invisible support for them.
Manjeshwara MLA Mr.P.B.Abdul Razak, Ex MLA Mr.Kunjhambu, VHP leader Prof.M.B.Puranik,Yermal Ramesh Rao, KrishnaPrasad were present and sought the blessings of Daiva.
The ‘Nemostava’ of Raktheshwri and Parivara Daivas was also held with much fanfare and grandeur as part of the five-day religious festivities at the Enmakaje Beedina Mane, once the residence of Village head.
The Nemotsava Rituals is performed in the first week of March every year under the Leadership of Enmakaje Vishwanath Rai who represents the entire clan at all functions and religious ceremonies.
Nemostava became an annual event in 2004, when the temple, which was destroyed in a fire in 1994, was reconstructed under the support of Mr.Sudheer Shetty, ( Mr.Shetty Chief Operating Officer of UAE Exchange,) family members, Villagers and many others.
During the the five-day event, meals and refreshments served to the guests and locals.
Since times immemorial, Daivas of Enmakaje used to be worshipped in many Daiva Banas in Yenmakaje and Bedrampalla,- on Kumbla-Perla road. This used to be followed by Bedrampalla cock fighting and fair for five days and was one of the major festivals of the region. However, things were not the same for a few decades owing to rules and regulations of the administration.
But, Villagers are now immensely happy that the Pilichamundi and Parivara Daiva Nemotsava are now being held with grandeur.
