The 10 th edition of the Asia’s biggest Air Show “ Aero India 2015” took off on Wednesday February 18, 2015 on a “flying” note with a stunning display of fighter jets, Military choppers and transport aircraft at the Indian Air Force (IAF) Yelahanka base in Bengaluru, India.
Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi Inaguareted the five-day international air show in the presence of foreign delegations, envoys, diplomats, service personnel and other dignitaries from across the country and abroad.
One of the largest air shows of its kind in South Asia, the international air show on aviation, aerospace, defence and civil aviation is showcasing the latest military and civil aircrafts and military technologies. Besides 54 ministerial and other high-level delegations from several countries that are slated to attend the inaugural event, the exhibition will also see participation of over 600 companies, including 295 Indian and 328 foreign companies. Of the 110 countries participating in the event, the US is representing in a big way with a 64-member delegation, followed by France with 58 delegates, Britain 48, Russia 41 and Israel 25.
About 600 multinational and Indian firms, including state-run enterprises are showcasing their technologies and products at the expo in dozen pavilions spread over 2.5-lakh square metres at the sprawling venue.The air show ended on February 22, 2015.
